The private health care system is very good and if you have an insurance covering medical visit in foreign countries you don’t have to be afraid of high costs. The sanitary staff speaks English and German. There are two hospitals in the South of Tenerife.

At the numerous pharmacies in Spain you can buy a lot of medicine without having a receipt and most of the products are a lot cheaper than in other countries.

If you want to relax at a Spa you can go to the Hotel Sheraton La Caleta or for a larger one go to the Aqua Club at Torviscas.
