Excursions
Did you know that there the majority of the 27 different species of dolphins and wales living in the Canary Islands stays between Tenerifeand La Gomera? Don’t wait any longer and jump on an excursion boat or a catamaran to discover those unique animals. You can also dive with a submarine to the ocean’s bottom.
Playas
The south of Tenerife comes up with a great variety of beaches. Sun seekers go to the calm beach of Diego Hernández or watch the surfers at La Caleta. If you prefer the diversity with shops, bars and restaurants at the beach promenade hop to one of the following beaches – all located in a very short distance from the partner hotel Jardín Caleta: Playa del Duque, Playa Troya, Playa Torviscas o Playa La Pinta.
Natural pools
The unique shape of Tenerife’s coastline has supported the construction of the typical natural pools. Although the majority of them is located in the north of the island in the villages of Garachico,Bajamar and Punta del Hidalgo, there are also some small ones in the south like La Ballena in Ten-Bel, Las Galletas – just 15min by car from T3.
Snorkeling and diving
If you like to discover the underwater life the south of Tenerife offers you a great variety of opportunities. Go snorkeling at the beach of Diego Hernández or Puertito or make your inscription at one of the diving schools. Tenerife disposes of a numerous spots and views up to 30m, thus you enjoy your dive easily.
Surfing
One of the best spots of the Canary Islands is located at Playa Las Américas. There are several surfing schools offering surf lessons and renting material. For windsurf or kitesurf head for El Médano, spot of the kite surf world tour. There is a great variety to take lessons or rent material.
Sailing
Navigating in the open sea is one of the funniest and easy to learn adventures. There are a lot of excursions where you can participate actively or passively.
Kayaking
Open water kayaking is very different from river kayaking but nevertheless funny. Jump into your kayak and enjoy the unique views to the coastline.
